Delaney is a rapidly-growing, nationwide distributor representing more than 100 recognized publishers of non-fiction and fiction books and multi-media products to schools and libraries. With over 80 Sales Representatives throughout the United States and Guam, we are now seeking full & part-time Sales Representatives for assigned local territories in many of the United States. At Delaney, our Sales Representatives are hired as independent contractors, a win-win relationship that offers tremendous advantages and flexibility. As an independent contractor, you’ll be in business for yourself. We are seeking candidates who are committed to spending the time, energy and expertise to build their sales territories. Educational experience is a plus!

Delaney Offers:

 • Freedom & Flexibility: With Delaney, you can set your own pace! We prefer sales consultants who are looking for a full-time commitment. However, it is possible to set your work hours that mirror that of a schools' schedule. Perfect for people with school-aged children.
 • Income and Incentives: Delaney offers a generous commission and bonus structure: Commissions average 18-20% on net sales. The higher your sales and level of commitment, the more you will make. There are no caps on earnings. Additionally, we offer a bonus structure as sales milestones are reached.
 • Team Support: When you join Delaney, you join a family. The Delaney home office hosts regular training webinar’s, provides national marketing support and shares many tools to keep you up-to-date on the best-selling and newest publisher offerings! In addition, our team members in the field support each other by sharing sales suggestions, tips and tricks they’ve learned and more. We provide samples, catalogs, marketing collateral and conference/exhibit opportunities.

Job Requirements and Responsibilities:

As an Education Sales Consultant with DEE, you will research your territory’s school districts’ educational needs and develop sales strategies and presentations to present solutions that meet those needs. You must also be enthusiastic in your approach and follow-through with clients and proactive in building your business opportunities. Prior educational field experience is desired.
 • Local travel to client locations
 • Enthusiastic representation of DEE to potential clients
 • Developing strong working relationships with librarians, administrators, teachers and other school personnel
 • Engaging in solution-centered dialogue with decision makers to discover their particular needs and goals
 • Matching appropriate DEE products to client needs and closing sales
 • Attend local and state training and industry conferences
 • Maintain competent product knowledge and knowledge of PreK-12 educational funding sources in their territory
 • Have the ability to strategize and plan their schedule around the school calendar
